In 2016, founder Tor Ove, a veteran of the innovation-rich, Scandinavian tech sector and father of two school-aged children, saw a cluttered and complex education technology landscape in front of his children, their teachers and school leaders. He recognized that the education market had become clogged with inferior and poorly integrated products, built on top of Microsoft’s and Google’s core productivity and collaboration tools.
"Skooler is on a mission to do Education Technology better"
Tor Ove saw the opportunity to serve K-12 education better with a complete and fully integrated solution that reduced complexity and more deeply engaged teachers, students and parents all while modernizing the processes inside and outside the classroom. From that vision, Skooler was born and has since grown to become the market leading Learning Management System for Microsoft Office 365 schools. After its initial success across Scandinavia and in the U.K., Tor Ove relocated to the greater Seattle area to expand Skooler’s global footprint into the U.S. market.
From its foundation in Moss, Norway to London to Seattle, the Skooler team is dedicated to improving learning outcomes through smart investments in technology that students, educators and parents love to use every day.
